# 2014/08/03 ***DISCLAIMER***: _These notes are from the defunct k8 project which_ _precedes SquirrelJME. The notes for SquirrelJME start on 2016/02/26!_ _The k8 project was effectively a Java SE 8 operating system and as such_ _all of the notes are in the context of that scope. That project is no_ _longer my goal as SquirrelJME is the spiritual successor to it._ ## 00:45 For my JSON parsing code it appears that I am writing it twice to speak, the core code in ImplParser, the code using that in ImplReader. Though for less sanity I can make it so that ImplReader has less reduced code. Both of these should be sharing code not have them be mirrors of each other. I clearly need a better way to handle parsing as it could be far simpler than this. There is input parsing for text streams and one also exists for object streams. Perhaps a simple decoder would work out, a base class that could be extended to perform a specific extrapolation of input similar to parser. Then Parser and Reader could just assume it is correct. ## 01:35 This new way of parsing data is much easier, from what I can determine of the future. Less code bloat and simplifies many things, since once the stuff reaches ImplReader or ImplParser it would already have been checked of context so it could just be added. Simplification is better. ## 05:26 Did no real work at all yet (suppose still taking a break), however I have been thinking of my future IDE. I can have a split view which is able to see translation between source code, abstract code, byte code, and machine code. This way debugging output and what happens when would be easier and such.
