About You

Code Climate operates in a very technology + developer-heavy space. You'll enjoy this role if you care about working in and fostering a positive and collaborative environment. You are a talented and aspiring Software Engineer. You have 2+ years of software engineering experience and are comfortable writing code in Ruby (and using Rails). It helps if you have done this at any scale before. You are passionate about building maintainable, efficient, clean code. You have a strong sense of product and empathy for the human who is using it. Bonus points if you’ve been part of a team that works on large-scale distributed systems and are comfortable working in JavaScript.

 

About the Role

The Engineering Team at Code Climate is responsible for building our polished customer-facing experiences and the underlying technology platform, which processes about two billion lines of source code every weekday across more than 10 programming languages (including Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Go, Python and Swift). We are a small but highly effective team, and every team member is vital to the success of the company. We are certain that you will have the opportunity to work on significant technical projects and grow tremendously as an engineer through the unique challenges we face.
