Incoming students can check in the day prior to their assigned orientation date. If you are scheduled for
orientation on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, you will check in on Tuesday, Jan. 9. If you are scheduled for
orientation on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, you will check in on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Check in at your hall
office from 1:00pm-4:00pm on those days.

Returning students may return beginning Friday, January 12, 2018 at 8am.
If you were approved for a pre-Spring room change, check in at the hall office of your new residence hall.
Also, please note there could be a rate change based on your new residence hall. Rates for each hall can
be found at https://housing.appstate.edu/pagesmith/2.

You must be checked in to your assignment no later than 6pm, Tuesday, January 16th in order
to avoid losing your assignment.

Please Note: If you receive more than one notice, then a change has been
made in some way to your assignment (room change, roommate change, etc.),
and the new notice overrides any previous notice(s).

Reapplication is here!!!!!

Current on-campus students who are interested in living on campus again for the 2018-2019 academic
year must reapply for housing. Applications are available December 1, 2017 - January 31, 2018. Once a

student has applied for the reapplication process invitations will be sent via email in February and allow
groups of students to select a room and sign a Residence Hall License Contract until all available spaces
are filled. Students should be checking their Appalachian State University email regularly during
February for updates on their status in the reapplication process. Please visit the Reapplication page at:
