    <p class="lead">In August 2014, Vera Solutions started a grant-funded research and development unit, in the hopes of leveraging our years of experience in the technology for international development sector. Having completed hundreds of projects with leading international development groups, and having first-hand experience with dozens of technologies, we found that the single most common challenge—across organizations and projects—was data integration. In August 2014 Vera's CEO and co-founder, Taylor, stepped away from Vera to focus full time on OpenFn.</p>
