<p>The seven chapters that follow describe the details of the scientific studies carried out by members of the project
  staff in the physical and social sciences. Most of the studies were, as Dr. Craig points out, closely related to the
  project's examination of specific cases. Detailed reports of the cases are found in Section IV.</p>
