# Install on mac

The installation using brew is to be preferred, it makes it easy to perform future upgrades.
If brew is not available in your system, it is possible to download and install the DMG manually.

Note:
__Currently, the application is not signed, if the application doesn't start, make sure it is authorized
in `System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General`__

## 🍻 Brew

If [brew](https://brew.sh) is installed in the system, open a terminal and run

```bash
brew install cask andrewinci/tap/Insulator
```

## Using the DMG from the Github release

Download the archive `insulator-mac.zip` using the button below.

Mount the DMG `Insulator-x.y.z.dmg` and move the file `Insulator` to the `Application` folder.
