Use meaningful heredoc delimiters. Open

- Read upRead up
- Exclude checks
This cop checks that your heredocs are using meaningful delimiters.
By default it disallows END
and EO*
, and can be configured through
blacklisting additional delimiters.
Example:
# good
<<-SQL
SELECT * FROM foo
SQL
# bad
<<-END
SELECT * FROM foo
END
# bad
<<-EOS
SELECT * FROM foo

- Exclude checks
Checks for a newline after the final magic comment.
Example:
# good
# frozen_string_literal: true
# Some documentation for Person
class Person
# Some code
end
# bad
# frozen_string_literal: true
# Some documentation for Person
class Person
# Some code
end
Use 2 spaces for indentation in a heredoc by using some library(e.g. ActiveSupport's String#strip_heredoc
). Open

Draft.js is a framework for building rich text editors. However, it does not support exporting documents at
HTML. This gem is designed to take the raw `ContentState` (output of `convertToRaw`) from Draft.js and convert
it to HTML using Ruby.
EOS
- Read upRead up
- Exclude checks
This cops checks the indentation of the here document bodies. The bodies
are indented one step.
In Ruby 2.3 or newer, squiggly heredocs (<<~
) should be used. If you
use the older rubies, you should introduce some library to your project
(e.g. ActiveSupport, Powerpack or Unindent).
Note: When Metrics/LineLength
's AllowHeredoc
is false(not default),
this cop does not add any offenses for long here documents to
avoid Metrics/LineLength
's offenses.
Example:
# bad
<<-RUBY
something
RUBY
# good
# When EnforcedStyle is squiggly, bad code is auto-corrected to the
# following code.
<<~RUBY
something
RUBY
# good
# When EnforcedStyle is active_support, bad code is auto-corrected to
# the following code.
<<-RUBY.strip_heredoc
something
RUBY
Dependencies should be sorted in an alphabetical order within their section of the gemspec. Dependency codeclimate-test-reporter
