## Which one to use?

If you don't know which format to use, try the **JSON** format.
If you are using Firefox or Chrome you can install the **JSONView** extension/addon to explore a json file
nicely on your browser.

### JSON

JSON, or JavaScript Object Notation, is an open standard format that uses human-readable text to transmit data objects consisting of attribute–value pairs.

### GeoJSON

GeoJSON is an open standard format for encoding collections of simple geographical features along with their non-spatial attributes using JavaScript Object Notation.

### XML

Extensible Markup Language (XML) is markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable.

### CSV


A comma-separated values (CSV) file stores tabular data (numbers and text) in plain-text form. A CSV file consists of any number of records, separated by line breaks of some kind; each record consists of fields, separated by some other character or string, most commonly a literal comma or tab. Usually, all records have an identical sequence of fields.
