<span class="q">Q 127.</span> What is the honor that inferiors owe to their superiors?
<span class="q">A.</span> The honor which inferiors owe to their superiors is, all due reverence in heart,[^fnref:wlc1] word,[^fnref:wlc2] and behavior;[^fnref:wlc3] prayer and thanksgiving for them;[^fnref:wlc4] imitation of their virtues and graces;[^fnref:wlc5] willing obedience to their lawful commands and counsels;[^fnref:wlc6] due submission to their corrections;[^fnref:wlc7] fidelity to,[^fnref:wlc8] defense,[^fnref:wlc9] and maintenance of their persons and authority, according to their several ranks, and the nature of their places;[^fnref:wlc10] bearing with their infirmities, and covering them in love,[^fnref:wlc11] that so they may be an honor to them and to their government.[^fnref:wlc12]
