<span class="q">Q 130.</span> What are the sins of superiors?

<span class="q">A.</span> The sins of superiors are, besides the neglect of the duties required of them,[^fnref:wlc1] an inordinate seeking of themselves,[^fnref:wlc2] their own glory,[^fnref:wlc3] ease, profit, or pleasure;[^fnref:wlc4] commanding things unlawful,[^fnref:wlc5] or not in the power of inferiors to perform;[^fnref:wlc6] counseling,[^fnref:wlc7] encouraging,[^fnref:wlc8] or favoring them in that which is evil;[^fnref:wlc9] dissuading, discouraging, or discountenancing them in that which is good;[^fnref:wlc10] correcting them unduly;[^fnref:wlc11] careless exposing, or leaving them to wrong, temptation, and danger;[^fnref:wlc12] provoking them to wrath;[^fnref:wlc13] or anyway dishonoring themselves, or lessening their authority, by an unjust, indiscreet, rigorous, or remiss behavior.[^fnref:wlc14]
