<span class="q">Q 71.</span> What is required in the seventh commandment?
<span class="q">A.</span> The seventh commandment requireth the preservation of our own and our neighbor's chastity, in heart, speech, and behavior.[^fnref:wsc1]

<span class="q">A.</span> The duties required in the seventh commandment are, chastity in body, mind, affections,[^fnref:wlc1] words,[^fnref:wlc2] and behavior;[^fnref:wlc3] and the preservation of it in ourselves and others;[^fnref:wlc4] watchfulness over the eyes and all the senses;[^fnref:wlc5] temperance,[^fnref:wlc6] keeping of chaste company,[^fnref:wlc7] modesty in apparel;[^fnref:wlc8] marriage by those that have not the gift of continency,[^fnref:wlc9] conjugal love,[^fnref:wlc10] and cohabitation;[^fnref:wlc11] diligent labor in our callings;[^fnref:wlc12] shunning all occasions of uncleanness, and resisting temptations thereunto.[^fnref:wlc13]
