Credit where credit is due...

* Michael Greene ([@webdes03](http://twitter.com/webdes03)) for the frequent helpful feedback and help managing the site when I'm tied up. Mike was also kind enough to create the project logo and certification icons. He's truly a part of the project team!

* The original idea for this library came from Mike Oryszak's blog post [Using jQuery to Update an Item Without A Form](http://nextconnect.blogspot.com/2009/06/using-jquery-to-update-item-without.html). This led to a [demo page](http://www.sympraxisconsulting.com/Demos/Demo%20Pages/ListsWebServiceUpdate.aspx) on our [demo site](http://www.sympraxisconsulting.com/Demos), then this library.

Other people who helped to inspire or inform (or just plain gave us some code to use!):

* [Paul Grenier’s “jQuery for Everyone” series on End User SharePoint](http://www.endusersharepoint.com/?s=jquery+for+everyone)
*   [Jan Tielen’s blog](http://weblogs.asp.net/jan/default.aspx)
*   [Kirikou](http://www.codeplex.com/site/users/view/Kirikou) for his assistance with [$().SPServices.SPCascadeDropdowns](value-added/SPCascadeDropdowns.md).
* [Einar Otto Stangvik](http://einaros.blogspot.com) ([@einaros](http://twitter.com/einaros)) for ideas and the [starting code](http://einaros.blogspot.com/2009/09/filling-sharepoint-web-service-gap.html) for [$().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser](utilities/SPGetCurrentUser.md)
* [Waldek Mastykarz](http://blog.mastykarz.nl) for his post entitled [Extending Lookup Fields with “Add new item” option](http://blog.mastykarz.nl/extending-lookup-fields-add-new-item-option) which turned into the [$().SPServices.SPLookupAddNew](value-added/SPLookupAddNew.md) function.
* [Christian Ståhl](http://sharepointdesigners.net/profile/ChristianStaahl) for help with functionality ideas and testing.
* [Mike Hacker](http://blogs.us.sogeti.com/mhacker) for a [nice workaround for z:row](http://blogs.us.sogeti.com/mhacker/2009/07/01/sharepoint-photo-gallery-using-jquery-part-2) to improve cross-browser compatibility, followed by [Kevin Whinnery](http://kevinwhinnery.com) with [something even simpler](http://kevinwhinnery.com/post/165178165/jquery-xml-parsing-and-xml-namespaces)
* Paula Paul for great suggestions, enhancement requests, and real world testing.
* Jaap Vossers ([@jvossers](http://twitter.com/jvossers)) for code review and ongoing ideas on how to improve things.
* Anders Rask ([@AndersRask](http://twitter.com/AndersRask)) for [regex help](http://www.sharepointoverflow.com/questions/1152/regex-to-parse-script-tags) (I don't like regex so much most days).
* A big thanks to [Thomas MacMillan](http://zepeda-mcmillan.blogspot.com/) for providing the code for the Taxonomy Web Service.

More to come...
